About this website

We know that those working within the BME community need to access the latest information quickly and easily, to have a clear channel of communication with one another, as well as to those making decisions that will affect their work.

BNS is here to help you, including

  • latest information about public policy and how it might affect you,
  • training and funding information,
  • how to develop partnerships and relationships with other agencies to increase buying power and lessen isolation in the region.
  • Campaigning and how to ensure your voice is heard

We research and manage the latest information on your behalf, so you have access to whatever you need, whenever you need it.

The Business Management Information System BMIS has been developed in conjunction with the Citizens Advice Bureau and provides a wide scope of business tools and examples, covering

  • Equality issues,
  • Governance,
  • Funding,
  • H&S,
  • PR,
  • staffing and legal requirements.

Training is available in the use of these systems and can provide an accreditation to those organisations who work within this management model.

We aim to also introduce features similar to those we may have become used to in our social interaction online – such as

  • message boards,
  • live chat with other members,
  • a forum where members can post questions or pass on information to everyone,
  • surveys where members can respond to key questions about their needs and the needs of their communities
  • more private sharing with individual members.
  • access and add to the calendar of events
  • create a homepage for your own organisation with links to it for other members to find out more.

In all, BNS is here to help all members access easily whatever help and support they need online through information, training and access to building relationships with other member organisations; and to represent their requirements and to ‘be’ their voice with the agencies of Government.
